  • You put it out into the world with intention, hope, and probably more late nights than you want to admit.

And then something happened, not nothing, but not enough. Within the first week, people were favoriting her products. For three weeks the favorites kept coming, steady and consistent.

I understood exactly why she felt that way, even though she was wrong.

The truth about those favorites is that they were people bookmarking a future purchase.

They were coming back. They had every intention of coming back. She just didn't know it, and she didn't give them the chance to.

But the harder truth underneath all of that is this: she was also scared. She had told people about the store. Friends, maybe family, maybe a partner who was quietly watching to see how it went. She was checking her numbers every day, sometimes more than once, looking for proof that she had made the right call by betting on herself.

When the scoreboard wasn't moving the way she needed it to, the silence stopped feeling like a slow start and started feeling like a verdict. Silence doesn't just feel like slow business. It feels like evidence. It feels like the thing you were afraid of all along finally showing its face.


🌿 The Real Thing We Are Managing

That voice, the one that says I told you so before anyone else even gets the chance, that is the real thing we are managing as business owners.

Not the algorithm. Not the conversion rate. Not the favorites or the impressions or the click-throughs.

⚠️ That voice is incredibly good at disguising itself as logic. It will dress itself up in spreadsheets and reasonable conclusions and what looks like clear-eyed assessment. But what it really is — is fear doing its most convincing impression of wisdom.


🌿 The Part That Doesn't Make the Highlight Reel

Building something almost always looks like failure before it looks like success. The funnel fills quietly, invisibly, in ways you cannot always measure in real time.

  • People are watching.
  • People are saving.
  • People are coming back.

🌿 The market is doing its slow, unsexy, unglamorous work of warming up to what you have built, and none of that shows up in a way that feels satisfying when you are in the middle of it. But that does not mean it is not happening. It just means you are in the part of the story that doesn't get shared on social media. The part that is actually doing all the important work of becoming something real.


🌿 You Are Not Behind
